WOW this is one of my favourite protein shakes so far from Good Hemp Nutrition out of all there shakes, also its there highest one for protein content per serving, read on to find out just why I love it
Check out the nutrition facts here
also with the muscle shake it contains
Active ingredients per Serving:
Creatine Monohydrate 5g
Good Says: When your objective is to build muscle tissue, your body requires 1,5g to 2g of high quality protein per pound of body weight to support healthy muscle development. The nutrient-dense, alkaline-forming nutrition found in GOOD hemp supplements is the best building material available for constructing strong muscle cells. Protein is a crucial component for muscle repair and building, so too are essential fatty acids (Omega-3 and Omega-6), vitamins, minerals, fibre, enzymes, probiotics, antioxidants and a host of other nutritional components – all found in GOOD hemp protein.
Taste: 5/5 Well this is one of the main reasons I love this product, the taste of the muscle shake has to be the best out of all of Good Hemp Nutritions shakes, it tastes very good and a nice strong chocolate taste.
Smell: 5/5 A nice strong smell of chocolate.
Look: 2/5 A darkish brown/green, I have gone on about this in the last reviews of hemp protein, its 100% natural so is going to have a natural colour to it.
Texture: 5/5 This is the bit I have been eager to tell you about, when mixed and shaken up in a shaker, the shake really goes a nice thick consistency like shakes should, this doesn’t contain any thickening agents so all I can put this down to is the extra Creatine Monohydrate, L-Glutamine and L-Leucine they have added in this product, I dont know about you, but I love a good thick creamy style protein shake!
Price: 4/5 Now you can take this a good way or you can take it a bad way, I myself have taken it a good way and I will explain why, so to buy a 1kg tub of Good Hemp Muscle Protein, you are looking at a price at this time of £41.99, the tub has 14 servings and that makes a cost of approx £3 per serving, WOW you might say?
I looked at it this way, if I was to buy a bottle of some protein drink at my gym, your looking at £3 for the bottle and it would contain around 25g of protein, well here is a breakdown on that:
Hemp Muscle Shake
- contains 41.2g of protein per serving
- its fully natural
- is low in carbs
- carbs it contains are mainly complex carbs
- Fats are omegas 3,6 & 9
- 10.3g of fibre per serving
Now look at the back of a bottle of protein you can buy ready made, most of them have this:
Bottle of Other Protein ready made
- full of carbs
- mainly sugars
- not 100% natural
- low protein
- low fibre ie.1g if that
- high in fats, also mainly Saturates
The UK VAT increase on all sports supplements really haven’t helped the price as I know it was about £5 cheaper before the VAT increase, I will buy it for sure, its worth every penny!
