How did you get started?

I started my journey of losing weight when I was 19 I was going to school full time an working full time an I wanted something different. so I took my last $200 and got a gym member ship and the right supplements to start off n a path I am still on.
I started because I wanted to go to the military an I needed lose weight. On top of that I was afraid that I was going to have a heart attack, and diabetes runs in my family an I didn’t want to get it I was 315 lbs. I knew it was time for a change in my life. I made that change when one day I was coming off the free way and I seen a sign that said gym membership $19 a month I went in to the gym an sign up right then an there.

What is your diet like?:

My diet is clean simple I eat a lot of
protein-
Tuna, Chicken, Salmon, Turkey, Lean Beef, Organic Eggs

vegetables-
Beans, Avocados, Tomatoes, Sweet Potato, Spinach, Asparagus, Kale, Mixed Vegetables,

I get most of my fats from nuts almonds an peanut butter

I have most of my carbs in the morning and try not to have any carbs after 4pm because it is harder for the body to break down.

I drink lots of water I was once told to never drink carbs unless it is in a protein shake so I try to live by that motto.

What are your goals?

My goal is to keep up all my hard work and to be in my first bodybuilding competition in about a year, and shortly after that to start fitness modelling. I know I still have work to put in an nothing will stop me.

Workout routine?

My routines are set workouts when I do 2 days of heavy lifting an 3 days of lifting for reps
Mon- chest/abs
Tues- quads/calves
Wed- back/shoulders
Thurs-abs/cardio
Fri- tri’s/bi’s
sat- cardio/abs
sun-rest

I do 30 min of cardio each day either before or after my workout when I do HIIT cardio I do it after my work out. I do that 3 day a week and long distance cardio 3 days a week I alternate days.

Little Extra

I have never been a fit person until now, motivations come from within. I was always told I would be fat forever. I was picked on in high school about my weight and the greats satisfaction I could ever have is to go back home on leave from the Army and see the same people that talked about me and see their face when I walk in the room, it is the greatest feeling ever. So my advice to any one trying to lose weight is to never let some one tell you that you cant do something prove them wrong… I did.
