Off season I pretty much eat what I want mostly clean but if I fancy anything like a McDonald’s, KFC, or whatever looks good at the time I will eat it. Comp diet mainly consists of sweet potato, turkey and vegetables. I always try to keep the protein around 1 gram per pound of body weight.
When and why did you get started?
Well when I was younger I only weighed around 12st and at 6ft 5 that’s pretty damn skinny. The main thing that got me started was when I was at my dad’s wedding in 2003, I seen my aunt who I hadn’t seen for years, she said “how skinny are you” well that kind of stuck in my head. months later when I was at work I noticed a concrete lintel so I started pressing it over my head and doing curls with it on my break times, that became light so I tied some bricks to it to make it heavier and eventually I noticed gains. This lead to me buying a home gym then eventually ventured to my local gym.
Will you always strive to get stronger or at some point just try to maintain?
I will always strive to be bigger and stronger, I train to gain not maintain.
What would be your biggest dream to be able to achieve?
My biggest dream is to be a good pro bodybuilder. Will I achieve it? I don’t know but I’m going to train as hard as I can to become the best that my body will let me.
Do you ever struggle to stick to your diet and eat lots of junk food?
When I’m dieting for a competition theirs not one bit of junk going to pass my mouth. Off season I eat junk when I want to but mainly I eat clean.
Allot of us out there love a good drink of alcohol from time to time, do you ever drink, if so how often?
I’ve never really been a drinker I just don’t like it, I do drink on special occasions.
If you could pick only one supplement what would it be? (Not protein as you can get that from foods easily)
Without a doubt a pre workout supplement is the most important something like jack 3d. Which makes you more awake, alert and you get great pumps. If you want to gain you’ve got to have the best workout every time so something like jack 3d helps get you in the mood.
