Weight: 125 lb off-season, 115 pounds on-season
I train weights 4 – 5 times per week and do cardio 5 – 7 times per week! I train high volume and light weights. After training for 10 plus years, I no longer need to build size, now I’m all about keeping my physique lean and losing the bulk! For cardio I focus on a lot of running including sprint drills. I also practice Hot Yoga 1 -2 times per week.
A lot of women look up to you, who do you look up to?
I have worked in this industry a long time; it’s not easy to find role models of the female persuasion. I would say, that I have always looked up to Monica Brandt, she has always found a way to remain professional and current in the industry.
Your favourite food?
Would definitely have to be sushi – good sushi- from Matsuhisa in LA.
Do you eat any of what people call junk food? If so how often?
Not too often, I live and breathe a healthy lifestyle whether I am training for a show or not. My diet mostly consists of greens, lots of lean proteins, and good for you fats. I am also limited as I have many food allergies including dairy and gluten! If I do indulge it would be on anything with chocolate and peanut butter, but I will regret it later!
Do you drink alcohol? If so how often?
Only drink on special occasions and only in the off season.
What would an example be of your diet you eat day to day?
Oatmeal and Egg Whites
Chicken and Greens
Protein Shake and Almonds
Chicken and Greens
Fish and Salad
Turkey and Almonds
If you could pick only 3 different body parts to put on your body from 3 other people, what would they be and why?
Interesting question, not sure I could pick three, but one I would definitely choose would be a long pair of legs! Erin Stern’s legs rock, long and lean!
What are your 1st and 2nd biggest achievements in life so far?
I am proud that I have established myself first and foremost in the fitness and supplement industry as an intelligent driven business woman. I can remember starting within the industry and being the only female within the Research and Development department of a leading supplement company, and having to prove myself among the boys that I knew as much about supplements, fitness and biochemical pathways as they did. By far the thing that I am most proud of is that I achieved all the goals that I set for myself along the way, becoming a full-fledged published columnist in 3 fitness magazines, TV show co-host as a nutrition and supplement expert, a consultant to supplement companies, and an accomplished model and figure athlete.
What is your main goal in life?
To empower woman to achieve their fitness goals and accomplish their own dreams!
What is your favourite picture of yourself at the moment?
Hard to narrow down… but I would have to say my latest published picture in Inside Fitness Hot & Fit 100 for 2012.
